Lakes Marion and Moultrie have dealt with multiple species of invasive aquatic weeds since the 1940’s. These weeds led to significant ecological damage, including fish kills. Casey Moorer and Santee Cooper have been battling these weeds for decades. Casey discovered a new technology that targeted both Hydrilla and Crested Floating Heart without impacting native plant species. The Lakes have never been healthier thanks to Casey and Santee Cooper.
