Over fifty acres of Lake Carl Blackwell was affected by Yellow Floating Heart. Oklahoma State University saw how the weeds were impacting the public and the ecosystem. Several university departments got involved and utilized a new technology that was safe for drinking water to decimate the invasive weeds. The collaboration led to state of the art research on invasive weeds as well as cutting edge drone treatments, having an extremely positive impact on the lake.
