Ron Sinnock, 72, former Coosa Country Club golf course superintendent, was inducted into the Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Hall of Fame this year. In his almost 40-year career, Sinnock helped bring the finer-bladed bentgrass to Georgia Greens and was named Georgia GCSA’s Superintendent of the Year in 1999. “There was always something very satisfying about being responsible for something that was alive and growing,” said Sinnock, “I loved working outside, and getting a paycheck to support my family was enough for me at the end of the week.” Known for his professional manner, and his willingness to “assist others in the profession in any way possible.”
