Turfgrass Safety, Broadleaf Control

Providing excellent turfgrass safety and containing the power of Octane® technology, Caliente's two active ingredients—metsulfuron-methyl and pyraflufen-ethyl—deliver a faster kill for a wide range of broadleaf weeds, providing higher customer satisfaction and reduced customer callbacks. 

Metsulfuron-methyl's systemic action blocks the production of essential amino acids in plants, while pyraflufen-ethyl 's contact herbicide inhibits the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase, which is involved in the production of chlorophyll. Together they deliver a quick burn down of susceptible weeds in as little as 24 to 48 hours, with systemic activity providing long-term control of targeted weeds.
