Flowing Water Treatment

Nautique should be applied via a drip or metered pump application system. Rates are based on flow (CFS) and site conditions (plant species, plant density, water quality conditions, etc). For optimal weed control throughout the season, Nautique should be applied as soon as submersed weed growth begins or when weeds begin to interfere with normal delivery of water (clogging of lateral head gates, suction screens, weed screens, and siphon tubes). Nautique applications should be repeated every 2 - 4 weeks based on site conditions. To achieve desired weed control, a minimum exposure period of three hours is recommended during each Nautique treatment.

Static and Slow-Flowing Water Treatment

Nautique can be applied as a surface spray, directly into the canal over the top of actively growing plants. In static and slow-flowing waters, Nautique may be applied diluted or undiluted, whichever is most suitable to insure uniform coverage of the target application area. Application rates of 0.7 ppm to 1.0 ppm are typically selected for aquatic weed control.
