Clearcast can be used for pre- and post-emergent weed control, as well as growth regulation of grasses for reduced mowing. Clearcast is an effective herbicide for in-season control of cattails and many other ditch bank weed species providing a flexible spray season with effective results in the spring, summer or fall. The use of an MSO surfactant is recommended for all foliar applications.
Broadcast applications – Apply Clearcast at 32 to 64 fl. oz./A. For best results, use a methylated seed oil surfactant at 1% v/v. Other non-ionic surfactants are also suitable. Speed of activity may be enhanced through a tank-mix addition of AquaPro® (glyphosate) at 32 fl. oz./A.
Spot treatments – Mix Clearcast at a 1% - 5% solution (1.3 to 5.5 fl. oz./Clearcast /1 gallon of water). For best results, use a methylated seed oil surfactant at 1% v/v. Other non-ionic surfactants are also suitable.
Clearcast can be applied following mowing to provide growth regulation of grasses to reduce mowing cycles during the season. Contact your SePRO Technical Specialist to optimize an integrated program using mowing and low-rate applications of Clearcast.
